Register for the symposium
Before you submit
We welcome research related to one of the four Kidnie Moonshots or to Kidnie Infrastructure.
- The abstract must be submitted in English
- The abstract must not exceed 300 words
- The title must not exceed 25 words
- The abstract must not have been published previously
- The research must relate to a Kidnie Moonshot or Kidnie Infrastructure
- The presenting author is expected to attend the symposium in person and must also register for the symposium. Register via the symposium page
No changes can be made to an abstract after the submission deadline.
Choose the Moonshot that best fits your research
When submitting your abstract, select the Kidnie Moonshot to which your research is most closely related. Research related to Kidnie Infrastructure can be submitted under Infrastructure.
Cure
Making real cures for paediatric kidney diseases a reality: intervening early and developing treatments that can prevent or repair disease.
Care
Making treatment easier and less burdensome for children with chronic kidney disease.
Transplant Care
Personalising transplant care to improve outcomes and quality of life.
Slowing Disease Progression
Slowing the progression of chronic kidney disease in children to prevent long-term kidney failure.
Kidnie Infrastructure
Use this option when the abstract primarily relates to Kidnie research infrastructure rather than one specific Moonshot.
How abstracts are selected
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Abstract Selection Committee.
The corresponding author will be notified of the outcome by 31 October 2026.
The Abstract Selection Committee will make the final decision on whether an accepted abstract will be presented as an oral presentation or poster presentation.
Presenting authors of accepted abstracts will receive further instructions after selection.
Abstracts will be assessed based on:
- Quality of the abstract
- Relevance to the Kidnie Moonshots or Kidnie Infrastructure
- Novelty of the research
- Significance of the reported results
